Projects
Line management/supervision staff are a critical component of the safety management system, they communicate the messages from management and deal with the workforce day to day safety issues. With this in mind we were commissioned to design and facilitate Train the Trainer session for the roll out of a OHS Survival Pack for Supervisors and an Incident Investigation Training Course.
Sophia was able to provide expert advice and consultancy to enable the organisation to deliver two key safety programs.
Janice Landy, OHS Consultancy & Field Services Manager
The City of Canning had a vision of system integration, renewal and growth. We were engaged to design and implement an OHS management system, policies, procedures, plans, reformat consultative committees, safe job planning tools and launch an intranet page.
The wonderful staff and workforce at the City made this project so much fun, while there are definitely serious elements of what we do and plan to prevent, a highlight was the creation of the Executive Steering Committee and the journey of coaching the Executive team was simply amazing.
With a commitment to bring about positive changes and best practice, Sophia has been instrumental in implementing significant improvements… at the City of Canning.
Andrew Sharpe, Director Corporate Services
The Ferguson Group engaged us from Aberdeen to conduct an HSE systems audit on operations in Henderson, Darwin and Karratha. We worked collaboratively with the team as our role expanded to create an integrated HSEQ system on Sharepoint. We engaged our Senior HSEQ Adviser to provide the onsite resources this project required. A highlight of this Project was supporting the fitout of Ferguson’s new office, warehouse and yard in Henderson. Getting things right from the start through safety in design is a key in injury prevention.
Sophia conducted a scope of work which included auditing of systems to international standards in the areas of health, safety and environmental compliance. Sophia’s approach and relationship building skills with the workforce was brilliant.
Carol van der Poel, (former) General Manager
The City of Stirling have engaged us to conduct a range of OHS Consulting Services for a number of years, we have undertaken work at height risk assessments, developed procedures, facility health and safety management strategies, and are currently assessing Contractor prequalification questionnaires, OHS Plans and Safe Work Method Statements.
Our staff are Certified Chartered Generalist OHS Professionals and Certified Lead Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditors which provides peace of mind, that systems are professionally, ethically and independently evaluated.
National Reinforced Concrete engaged us to create a project specific HSE Plan, Project Risk Register and SWMS’s that were mapped to the client’s HSE requirements. We facilitated a Hazard/Risk Workshop to ensure the scope of work which included excavation, concrete placement/pumping, formwork, steelfixing and cranage complied with every standard the client had mandated in their Global Minimum Requirements, Workplace Delivery Codes and Guidance for HSE Plans.
