Case study – Mining Services Client, Perth

The Health and Safety Manager was seeking a fresh pair of eyes to view their facilities, in terms of emergency preparedness and response.  Our scope was very specific, we designed an inspection tool to the client’s needs and the result was an Emergency Preparedness Legal Compliance Inspection Report, which is part of our Exemplar Global ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems auditing scope.  Drilling down on the new Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 (WA), Code of Practice Managing the Work Environment and Facilities, AS 3745 and AS 2293.  The inspection resulted in:

  • Emergency Control Committee Inaugural meeting held
  • Eye wash stations purchased and installed
  • Trauma packs distributed to upgrade first aid kits
  • Evacuation diagrams upgraded to Australian Standards.
